And to make life extra easy – and safe – the Avertum Street Tech-Air® has user-replaceable gas inflators. That way you can recharge the airbag yourself, assuring you’re ready to go again after it’s been deployed.
We have also integrated the option of inserting our SEESOFT or SEESOFT AIR back protector. That way you have additional passive central back protection on top of the Avertum Street Tech-Air® airbag’s active protective prowess.

How it works
The Avertum Street Tech-Air® airbag system incorporates 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer), and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope) to provide the best crash-monitoring performance in a variety of dynamic riding situations, and even when stopped.
The crash detection triggering algorithm has been developed and refined with millions of kilometers of riding data and thousands of crashes, allowing the System to accurately assess when to deploy the airbag ahead of an impact or other dangerous situation like a low-side or high-side crash. In the event that it detects the start of a crash, the system will inflate the protective airbag in 50 milliseconds.

The Avertum Street Tech-Air® is a fully autonomous active airbag system and does not require any external connections or sensors on the motorcycle for the system to operate. And when not in use, its packable design allows it to be easily stored in a backpack or under a bike’s seat.

Whether the sun is out or it’s raining, the Avertum Street Tech-Air® is ready for both. Featuring a water-resistant main chassis and a waterproof ECU and electronics, the slim, self-contained system of the Avertum Street Tech-Air® can be worn over your protective gear.

Tech-Air® airbag inflation system
Autonomous airbag inflation system that provides additional impact protection, using a range of high-tech sensors to near-instantly deploy a protective airbag in case of an accident.
Maintenance & Servicing
A technical garment like Avertum Tech-Air® requires regular maintenance. Even without the airbag having been deployed, the Tech-Air® system should be serviced at least once every two years or 500 hours of use. Whatever comes first.
During a service, the entire airbag is inspected and cleaned. With a recharge, the system is reloaded with fresh canisters as well as getting a through-and-through inspection and the airbag will also be washed.
To ensure the use of Avertum Tech-Air is kept as simple and convenient as possible, routine maintenance through our Tech-Air service centre is thorough and easy to access, always with rider safety in mind.
