Purpose-Built Design
Each of our products start with purpose. Designed and engineered with care, we develop our products to be durable, assuring they’re built to last. This page outlines the steps we are taking to improve each part of the product journey. From choosing better materials to purposefully designing to do better.
This is where innovation meets responsibility.
Drive sustainable & innovative material use
Strategically increase the use of more sustainable and innovative materials.
Optimize Design for Durability
Advance durable product development through strategic design and support initiatives.
Implement Circular Solutions
Increase circular solutions for packaging, use, or end-of-life of REV'IT! products.
How we get there
Design for Repair
We continuously aim to extend the lifespan of our products and one way to achieve that goal is to enable our products to be repaired without constraint.
In achieving that aim, we take repairability into account from the very first instance of the development process. Overcomplicated constructions have no place in our products, and we purposely design for repair.
Replaceable outsoles in footwear, replaceable zippers and pullers, and exchangeable jacket and pants liners – all simple yet effective examples of designing for repair.
Product Lifetime Extension
Longevity is not a nice-to-have, for us it’s a product-design prerequisite. From quality materials to thoughtful constructions that stand the test of time, we design gear that stays with riders for longer. Supporting repair, improving durability, and educating consumers are all part of our approach.
Sustainable Materials & Components
We aim to reduce the environmental impact of our products by using better materials. That starts by defining what "sustainable" actually means to us and setting clear targets to making the shift to the using more and more low-impact materials in key parts of our collection.
In practice this means phasing out harmful substances, like PFAS, and investing in more responsible alternatives, such as certified recycled fabrics.
Circular Thinking
Our responsibility does not end with a product leaving the store. We have to consider what happens after a product is returned, gets worn out, or is simply no longer of use.
It also includes reducing packaging the essentials, refurbishing used products that bear minor defects, and identifying ways to recycle key components like leather, fabric, and trims.
Measurement & Insight
In order to make better decisions, measuring the impact of our materials and the durability of our products is vital. Understanding how long a product will last and how they performance changes over time, helps us design smarter and more sustainably.
Setting up systems to gather customer insights, establishing quality control benchmarks, and developing tools that guide material selection based on long-term performance are crucial to getting a clear picture of what’s necessary.
Which is why we’re developing durability measurement guidelines, implementing internal quality monitoring processes, and exploring ways to collect feedback on product wear and longevity.
Planet
From reducing emissions to eliminating hazardous chemicals and cutting waste, we are making better choices at every stage of our supply chain. See how we are taking action to protect the planet and diminish our footprint step by step.
