Technical inside, clear and clean outside
Assembled from durable ripstop fabric and ample breathable mesh, with wide strips of additional stretch material around the sleeves to give a secure feeling fit. By fully integrating the electronics into the vest itself, the Avertum airbag vest’s safety features inconspicuously blend into the design. Even the magnetic trigger tab is hidden away inside the zip cover.
When the sensors trip and the airbag is deployed, protection levels are comparable to 18 CE-level 1 back protectors and impact force is reduced by up to 93% compared to passive CE-certified protectors.
The Avertum Tech-Air® airbag is fully race ready and fully compliant to the “FIM Requirements for Grand Prix Airbags 2018.

As fast as a blink of an eye
The Avertum Tech-Air® airbag system provides rapid deployment (40ms) upon crash detection, offering up to 95% impact force reduction compared to passive protection. Equivalent to 18 CE-Level 1 back protectors, it also includes an integrated back protector for added safety.
It’s not just the impact force reduction itself that matters, shape and coverage are just as important. The Avertum Tech-Air® offers unparalleled upper body coverage including shoulders, chest, ribs, and the entire back, minimizing risks of injuries to critical areas during road impacts.

Every move you make…
Based on riding data and crash analyses acquired over thousands of incidents and millions of kilometers, the Tech-Air® system uses artificial intelligence to monitor your most minute movements effectively and accurately – both intentional and unintentional – to know what is going on and to act accordingly when time calls for it.
Information is constantly being fed to the intelligent crash detection algorithm in the Airbag Control Unit via three integrated gyroscopes and an equal number of accelerometers. To watch your every move and watch your back at the same time.
Real-life usability
The Avertum Tech-Air® airbag is designed with real-life usability in mind. All the electronics are water resistant and the LED display on the front of the airbag clearly indicates operational status as well as the battery level. Once fully charged, the lithium-ion battery offers about 30 hours of operation and for quick-and-easy charging the airbag comes equipped with a magnetic micro-USB charger.
Developed to really incorporate in everyday riding, the Avertum Tech-Air® comes equipped with a total of three airbag deployments before the system needs servicing and recharging. For more information on service, see below.
Safety and comfort go hand in hand
Because you will be wearing the Avertum Tech-Air® under a regular motorcycle jacket or leather suit, we’ve designed the airbag to blend seamlessly into your outfit. Constructed almost entirely of a variety of durable mesh fabrics, the short-sleeve design of the Avertum Tech-Air® is lightweight and incredibly breathable.
Light and comfortable to wear as well, with even the dexterity enhancing stretchable parts made of a mesh spandex. Obviously hard-wearing areas such as the shoulders are additionally reinforced with a durable yet supple ripstop material – also ventilated, with laser-cut perforations. On top of that, even the back of the airbag system itself is designed to let air flow through.
The fit of the Avertum Tech-Air® is kept snug to assure safety and comfort go hand in hand, with extra wide elastic rib cuffs along the sleeves to prevent them creeping up, so you stay comfortable. Along the collar a soft neoprene material makes sure you barely feel it on the skin.

Maintenance & Servicing
A technical garment like Avertum Tech-Air® requires regular maintenance. Even without the airbag having been deployed, the Tech-Air® system should be serviced at least once every two years or 500 hours of use. Whatever comes first.
During a service, the entire airbag is inspected and cleaned. With a recharge, the system is reloaded with fresh canisters as well as getting a through-and-through inspection and the airbag will also be washed.
To ensure the use of Avertum Tech-Air is kept as simple and convenient as possible, routine maintenance through our Tech-Air service centre is thorough and easy to access, always with rider safety in mind.
