Four ways to start
Made to measure, made to order: the entire process revolves around your wants and needs, measurements and requirements.
Whether at our Experience Centers, selected REV’IT! TAILORTECH dealers, trackside, or from the comfort of home – it always starts with a conversation. Here’s how it works.
Steps to get suited
- Discussing your brief – what you expect from your final suit.
- Capturing the measurements that drive the pattern.
- Getting to work crafting your suit.
- Delivering your suit to you – sent to you or handed over in person.
Getting fitted at Experience Centers, dealers, and trackside
01. Consultation
What you expect from your made-to-measure suit matters most. We start the conversation to determine what kind of rider you are, whether you’re just getting started or an advanced rider. Are you a track day enthusiast or a competitive racer, and is it bold custom design you crave or rather a flawless fit with understated looks; each piece of information has its place.
Do you ride with an airbag? If yes, we discuss preferences. If not, we will advise, inform, and help you get acquainted with the technology and which suit matches your active protection needs.
02. Design
The next step is all about the design. Will custom colors based on a template – with the option of badges and artwork on sleeves and legs – suffice, or do you desire the freedom of blank canvas design. It’s up to you. But we will guide and advise you all the way.
03. Fit
Once you’re satisfied about design, we get to measuring to attain perfect fit. Before we measure you up, we register experience and ambitions, as well as special needs – like physical asymmetries for instance. Next the traditional measuring session takes place with an expert tailor using a measuring tape, followed by a digital scan to gather additional information.
04. Production
All the information gathered from the measurements and the conversations then gets transferred to our workshop. Our designers put together one or more design proposals, which we will discuss with you until the design is final. Once final, the pattern is created and cut, after which our tailors assemble your suit – ready for delivery.
05. Delivery
Once your suit design is final, the process – done by hand from start to finish – typically takes 6-10 weeks. We will agree on how you receive your suit, with options to have them shipped to you directly, to our dealers and Experience Centers, or to our service trucks trackside.
Keep in mind, those same hands assembling your suit also craft the race suits for our professional racing athletes. During peak periods we will prioritize producing the suits for MotoGP, WorldSBK, and other championships, possibly leading to minor delay in delivery time.
Getting fitted from the comfort of home
We understand that your busy schedule may not allow you to visit a TAILORTECH Experience Center or spend a day watching the races. That’s why we’ve created a convenient way to order your impeccably tailored suit from the comfort of your own home.
01. Creation
Create your suit design using our configurator on the product pages, built to guide and advise you step by step through the customization process.
02. Measurements
Connect with one of our race technicians via video call. We will guide you through the measurement process, ensuring an accurate fit that meets our standards and ensures perfect fit.
03. Anticipation
Once finalized, the anticipation starts. You can sit back and relax while your new REV’IT! TAILORTECH suit is cut, assembled, and then delivered straight to your door.
Good to know
Fit can only be properly assessed once the rider has worn the suit on the bike, which may occur days or even weeks after taking delivery – we understand this.
If the suit does not fit as intended in practical use, and the rider’s measurements were submitted and confirmed using our official measurement protocol, we take responsibility and will correct fit issues.
Minor deviations within normal production and fitting tolerances, including small dimensional differences that do not affect comfort, mobility, or safety – are considered acceptable and do not constitute a fit issue.
Minor fit adjustments within tolerance are included free of charge, provided that:
- The official measurement protocol was fully followed
- There has been no significant body change between measurement and delivery
- You contact us promptly after you have worn the suit
- Requests based on subjective preference, negligible measurement differences, or non-functional variations (e.g. millimeter-level sleeve or leg length differences) are not grounds for alteration.
Major fit modifications or confirmed measurement errors may incur a cost. Any such costs will always be discussed and approved in advance. For justified adjustments, shipping is covered by us.
